Day 1 Taiwan Trip (Feb/ Mar 2015) - Singapore | Taipei Airport | Taichung

Sorry that this update is taking so long to post up. The initial plan is... to do up blog post after I complete the scrapbook which I came across at the book store in Taiwan. I am not a scrapbook person but the book just fits. And ta-dah, my plan to do the scrapbook for Taiwan! But what I had not expected is that I actually took around 6 months to complete the scrapbook! Shocking I know. Not that it was hard or challenging or anything. It's just my lazinness and procrastination that got the better of me. Hence that explains why it was finally being done up only in Sept:P

See~ The Book I got from Taiwan. It's just nice to do up a scrapbook for my Virgin Taiwan Trip right? hahaha.

But wells~ it's finally done. So next up, the blog posts for my virgin trip to Taiwan in 2015~
First trip to Taiwan with my friend as the tour guide since she went there before. It's also our first ever trip together overseas. heehee. Still remembering how excited we are and we did quite some research beforehand and after much cancelling out of plans due to our packed schedule, we managed to confirm on the plans (though it is still rather packed. But we can always skip some if really time do not permits). If there's time for everything, that's a bonus for us. So here we go~

Mandatory shot with our luggages:P

Picture taken at Boarding area. Mood of CNY.

Wefie taken inside the plane

On the day of departure, we are supposed to reach Taipei at 6.21pm and thereafter we will catch the 8.21pm HSR heading for Taichung. But then I guess things don't usually go the way we wanted/ planned. There was a delay in the take-off timing since there was some problems with the plane. The plane was at the takeoff runway when suddenly it announced that due to some problems, they have to turn back to the boarding area to carry out repair works. Part of us felt sian at the delay of timing as this means we will reach Taiwan at a later time. But part of us felt that it was a good thing that they found out the problem before flying off. What would have happen if they realize the problem only after taking off? Can't really imagine. And I think I don't want to continue imagining.

So ended up, we missed our HSR timing and we have to top up additional amount to change the timing to a later time. In the end, we only managed to reach Taichung at our hotel, Le Parker Hotel at 11pm. The hotel is located within Taichung Fong Jia Business Circle, and is situated close to FengJia Night Market.

Le Parker Hotel
Address: 407, Taiwan, Taichung City, Xitun District,至善路234巷16號

Didn't managed to shop much since by the time we checked in and all, Fengjia Night Market is already mostly closed. We only managed to have the 大肠包小肠 - Taiwanese glutinous rice sausage which is split and served with Pork sausage with other fillings like vegetables. Not too bad though. But I would prefer Taiwan Sausage anytime for this:P

This stall is rather easy to spot since it's located at the entrance of FengJia Night Market:)

The other thing we managed to buy is... Papaya Milkshake!

Super nice! It's very thick and not at all diluted! I have not come across any others that tasted so rich before in Singapore! This is highly recommended! Drink of Awesomeness~  They are famous for their Papaya Milkshake. But they do offer other types too! Have a try at the others if you are not a fan of Papaya. Think they are not bad too since others are also ordering those.

So that's about all for Day 1 since we arrived late :( Lucky our hotel is located near to FengJia Night Market. At least we still got 2 food items from there. Better than nothing.

Solo Travel

Travelling alone have been something I wanted to try since last year. Not sure why and how this thought had planted itself inside my head. Might it be due to us growing up and we tend to want to experience different things as time goes by? I am not sure. But it sure is an exposure when travelling overseas alone.

Even though I am tempted and drawn by the idea of travelling alone, my heart still recoiled at the thought of fear and uncertainty. I am definitely not someone who likes taking risks. And also, the idea of not having someone to depend on especially in a foreign place is more scary than being placed inside a Haunted House where everything only last a few minutes. By travelling overseas alone, it does/ will not end within a few minutes. Last year when the thought of travelling alone overseas first strike me, I was more excited rather than scared. But now that I start thinking that I want to realise that little dream of mine, I am filled with fear of the uncertainty that will meet me if I really go on the solo trip.

My friend just told me she went on a solo trip! I didn't know since all along I thought she was going with another friend. Surprise much! She shared with me some of the happenings there and it was really a great experience and exposure. I am shock when she told me. Going on a solo trip requires great courage for someone so dependent like me. But of course, I have to go through my parents' approval since I doubt they will let me travel alone. With friends still okay, but alone? I am not too sure about that. They might object to it. But maybe in the near future, I might consider travelling to Taiwan on a solo trip if I got a sudden strength of courage:P

Talking about travelling to Taiwan.. I still have yet to do up the posts for Taiwan! I am in the midst of drafting and will post them up soon. Very soon! So stay tune for my updates of my Taiwan trip.

Music In My Life

Music, to me, is very important. No matter what my mood is.
While listening to music can make you think and recall about incidents that have happened, others could be songs that you can relate your experiences/ encounters to. And so on....

It is so important to me that when previously I was not able to access radio on my office computer, I was so affected that I went home to tell my mum that I feel like something is missing and I don't feel that motivated anymore. Yes I do listen to the radio when I am at work :) At least with music, it won't be that quiet and boring. It fills up the emptiness and add some colours to your day while you do work. haha. Initially I had thought she will nag at me and just ask me to listen to the songs on my phone. But nope. She accompanied me to search for a radio clock! Maybe she knows how important listening to music is to me:P

Like today, the radio station is playing rather nice songs. It tend to cheer people up a little when you listen to songs you like. But of course, since I am listening to the radio station (and not my playlist) at work, once in a while, there will be some songs that do not suit your taste. Once in a blue blue moon, if the radio station keep playing the songs I don't like, then I will choose to change radio channels since it will affect my mood:P

Okay, I shall end this post and continue listening to the radio. Really nice songs playing today - mix of old and new ones:) But before that, a song for everyone to listen to - [ 如果我變成一首歌 If I were a song ].
If you were a song, what song would you be? Hmm...

Chicken and Duck Talk

Monday once again. but it's not that bad today since time is passing rather fast today.

Funny incident that happen this afternoon. My friend was telling me of her purchase of cushion online:

Friend: wow heng ah. My cushion not that heavy. 1.74kg.
Me: Cushion 1.74kg??? What cushion is that?!?! Tie Zhuo de ah (Meaning made of metal)?
Friend: Wait ah. I show you. [And she screenshot me the picture of the cushion - which is just the ordinary kind of cushion]
Me: But this cushion is 1.74kg?? Kg or grams?
Friend: Kg. I bought 5 for my new sofa.
Me: So it's 5 for 1.74kg or 1 for 1.74kg? Difference very big leh.
Friend: 5 for 1.74kg.
Me: Omgggg you scare me. I tot 1 for 1.74kg. Chehhh~
Friend: hahaha. you ben ben de.
Me: You only state cushion leh. Not cushions. Tsk tsk.
Friend: hahahaha. oops.

Seriously? I thought what cushion is that to have weigh that heavy. And turns out that my friend is talking about 5 cushions in total. Seriously roll eyes at her. Don't know to laugh at this or to be angry at her. Talking about the same thing yet different quantity~ Hahahaha! Something to chase away Monday blues:P

Afternoon Out At Pasir Ris Farmway

Such a great nice weather today. So the plan is to go to Pasir Ris Farmway to see see look look at the puppies there. Loving how cute they are! Came across a shop where the owner is so nice and told us a lot about the dogs. If next time I have a chance to get a dog, most likely I would consider going to that shop to get one!! Keyword though, is next time - It's going to need a lot of persuasion before my mum will ever allow us to keep dogs. Cuz she is one who likes cleanliness. And also having to take into consideration the time and effort needed to keep a dog. All these are also required to be look into before deciding to keep a dog.

Other than dogs, there's also other pets like cats, Guinea pigs and even rabbits. But my favourite is still dogs. Haha. Still scared of Guinea pigs/ rabbits since previously got bitten by one of my friend's. Since that one incident where I got a shock when the Guinea pig/ rabbit suddenly turn around and bite my hand, I don't dare to touch them anymore. Hahaha. The speed is so damn fast that I do not even have the time to react! And my friend later told me it do not bite people at all. I am actually the first one. I guess the Guinea pig/ rabbit must not like me....

But anyway, I did have a chance to carry the puppy - Japanese Spitz! So cuteeeeee that I literally melted. At the beginning, I was a lil worried cuz the puppy didn't wag its tail when I carry it (maybe the puppy don't like me). Then after a while when it start wagging its tail, I actually felt happy. It's like their way of getting used to you:P Too bad we can't take pictures. But being able to carry it and touch it, is just sufficient:)

Happy Singles Day to all singles out there!
Not sure where this date originate from. But all I know that it's a day where there's some sales going on! Great day to do some shopping today - happy mid week:P

Many things to get started doing recently since it's nearing the end of the year already. Need to do up some research and planning. And also not forgetting, need to start thinking about what to get for Christmas gifts and all. Time to start getting busy with those.

A song dedicated to everyone :)
