Pokemon Hunting Event || Chock Full of Beans (25 Sept 2016)

Went for the Pokemon Hunting Event organized by Tanjong Pagar CC which my friend asked me, along together with her friend (also a Pokemon go player). It's rather worth it since you only have to pay $5 (for passion card holders) or $8 (for non-card holders). Lunch is provided and this event brings you to 3 locations for the hunt - Changi Village, Woodlands Waterway, and MBS. Timing wise, it's from 9.30am to 6pm or so, with 2 hours spent at each venue. And something we didn't expect would be that goodie bags are also given to us, consisting of 2 bottles of water, one bun, poncho, and other items! Not bad right?

So anyway, our first stop is to Changi Village!

It's funny how our pokemon hunting landed us at a cafe instead - Chock Full of Beans! We were just walking around trying to catch pokemon and suddenly we came across this place which we have all seen from social media but have yet to try - the 3D foamy drink! So viola~ there we are ditching the hunt and instead find ourselves seated at the high table browsing through the menu.

Initially, we had thought that the 3D foam only for the hot beverages. But apparently, it's for the cold beverages instead! Too cute to destroy the foam:(

And as usual a dessert person, we ordered the Lava Cake with Ice Cream!

And thereafter we headed to the next stop after trying to consume our provided lunch - Nasi Lemak, after being rather full from the cafe food actually :P 

We did tried our best since we do not want to hold on to the packet. haha. 

Next stop is towards Woodlands Waterway.. Definitely not a good place to go to in the middle of the day! Super sunny and hot with the sun just above. And there isn't really a air-conditioned shelter for us to hide away from the hot weather. Everywhere is pretty much open. How we wished that there's a cafe or something else that sells cold drinks/ ice cream at that point in time! So we were pretty glad when finally 2 hours is up and we get to board the bus and depart for the next location. Rather disappointing there due to the hot weather and on top of that, there's also not much catch over there in the middle of the day. I think there's more opportunity at night.

And the last stop is MBS - which we were dismissed there. MBS - Air-conditioned place and even if you are outside near the river, it's not as bad as compared to Woodlands Waterway! 

Overall, this event is not too bad I guess! Though I didn't get to catch any new pokemon that day. It gets harder since most pokemon you already have. Haha! 
Anyway, can really consider to participate in such events together with friends! :)

End of Ukelele Stage 2 Class

End of stage 2 class~

It seems like we just started class not long ago. But now, we had reached the end of classes! 

We had lots of fun and laughter together. Having the struggles of playing the songs. It's been something enjoyable despite the fast-moving pace of learning new songs every week - which due to work, we sometimes lack the time to practice till mastery.

Despite the end of class, let's do hope that we still continue to play and practice on our own! A few songs that I wanna to master - on queue. And hope to see them soon after the plan is finalize :)

Second Last Ukelele Lesson (20 Sept 2016)

Time sure flies isn't it? It seems like I have only just started on this stage 2 class and yet it's about to end soon - next week being the last lesson!

To be honest, stage 2 is a higher difficulty from the first - where we learnt to play the whole song (with different strumming patterns for the different paragraphs in a song. It's fun yet challenging. Maybe I shall find time to practice back on the songs taught after the class ends :P

Yesterday class was playing the song "Just Give Me A Reason" which was taught at the previous class on 17 Sept (Sat). I had missed that makeup lesson since I had something to see to. And only tried to practice by looking at the screenshots that my classmate sent me and also listening to the audio she sent me as well. You should have seen the piece of paper. Really confusing!! I had a hard time trying to figure out what it means and how to play it!

Though it's confusing at the start, lucky I was able to grasp a bit by listening the audio of teacher playing the whole song. Roughly getting some idea. And also lucky the strumming pattern for the chorus onwards is still manageable since we did played that previously. Just that the chords are different. 

And so viola~ there I was, at class yesterday trying to play. But also thanks to our teacher who went through a bit in class so that I can catch it before we proceeded to play the whole song.

I like this song a lot! Definitely going to master this song:)
But before that, need to find time to go through the new song for next week's class first! New techniques to learn as well.

Mid-Autumn Festival

中秋节快乐！

My friend whatsapp me this picture this morning and I was telling her I want the real Snorlax in be in my Pokedex. 

Previously appeared 2 times near my place (one inside my house and the other is just nearby walking distance). I have previously also encountered it once. But it ran away.. Not fated I guess. But I still hoped to catch it one day! Not giving up hope.. And believing that one day it will be mine! Wahaha! 

So cute hor?

After dinner, my mum happened to spot pikachu nearby. Since they have yet to evolve to Raichu, we rush out to try to catch it. I managed to evolve to Raichu already since I hatched pikachu from the egg so ended up having the candies faster than them:P 

And while out helping my mum catch the pikachu, spotted Snorlax nearby as well. So went on to try my luck in catching it. And I succeeded!! 

Finally Snorlax is mine!!

Back home feeling extremely happy!

Simple, yet filled with meaning. 
Might not be a good sign actually. 

So when she pop out this sentence, we all know that what's coming next might not be something favorable. 

And it's real. 

What will happen to us? How to proceed from here?
Hmm...
No answer to these. The only way is to take one step at a time, I guess.

Annual BBQ Gathering (10 Sept 2016)

Once again the time have come for our annual meetup for BBQ. Lucky for us, it's bright and sunny for us this year:) 

Definitely a first!! The previous times had been met with pouring rain either before the start of our BBQ or midway - which had us stranded at the shelter and freezing cold with the strong wind blowing.

An incident occurred halfway through the bbq - a mini fire. Me and Kt was at the pit while the rest of them are seated at the table when it happened. When we told them about the fire, they still thought we were joking! Lolol.

Our special edition of (moon)cake to celebrate everyone's birthday 2016! 

And as per usual gathering, of course won't be missing out on alcoholic drinks and card games! 

At the start I am the first to get the "triple 7" penalty. And another "I can't remember what" penalty. That initially my friends said my feng shui not good and asked if I wanted to change seat instead (since I am seated beside JH). Dangerous to sit beside the guys since they pro:P 

But I told them I believe in 奇迹 (miracle) so I remain my seat. 

And it was proven! I had JH drinking in 3 consecutive turns 😂 Super hilarious lahh~

So sometimes it's better to persevere and not give up. Miracles do happen :P
HAHA! Can't wait for our next gathering :)
