Birthday For 2016!

One week since my birthday.. And here's some of the updates.
Crazy and fun birthday this year. Especially on the eve of my birthday!

Totally didn't expect that day to be so crazy. So impromptu and all.
First is met up with JN and I thought dinner and just a chill out session to drink - both of us only. But who knows, we jio my "bro" along to come drink with us since his birthday is just one day before mine (aka his birthday falling on the eve of my birthday). So like sort of a birthday celebration to the end of his and start of mine.

Me and JN met to have dinner at Holland Village first before making our way to Clarke Quay for drinks.

The night is still young!
Sitting at the river chillax-ing since it's early to be starting on drinks.

We actually sat there until when it started drizzling. Then we made our way to find a place to start with the drinks while waiting for my "bro".

First round of drinks while waiting, and also listing out 3 wishes for this year which will then be sent to me on my birthday next year. HAHA!

US

JN ordered a strawberry beer and for myself a Lager Bomb.

Second round when my bro arrived!

Do you know? We ordered a Flaming Lamborghini - 2 times actually. But then we still failed in getting a successful picture of it. Super hilarious what happened. So well~

Complimentary - Illusion Shots!
Illusion cuz you can't really determine what the drink is. It tasted a bit lime sour yet sweet. Can't exactly describe what it is. I guess it depends on your own illusions :P

SAY CHEERS~

The complimentary drink specially for me <3
So honoured to be the first one to try this since it's not released yet until maybe next week or so? HAHA.
Loving the sweet taste - it doesn't taste like alcohol. But the alcohol level is definitely higher!
Sorry that the photo is rather dark:P

Me and my bro

Three Musketeers

And to top it off, my bro actually requested for the band to play a Happy Birthday song to me. Super paiseh lahhh.. Too bad the below video is just a short one (which didn't capture the birthday song) which JN help me to take on snapchat.

And finally the third round is Sake time! HAHA!

Overall, it's been a crazy birthday eve night and a special one this year. Have to thank JN and my bro for the awesome time:) Hope our birthday wishes will come true~

My Birthday Cake this year specially baked by my mum <3

Rainbow Cake :)

Special gift from a friend: 2 more plush added and I have no space to store any more plush! HAH! Hopefully that's the end of plush into my collection :P

Craftholic VS Big Boss!
And around Big Boss neck, there's a necklace
❤️

Lastly, gotta thank everyone who had wished me happy birthday and celebrated for me!! :)

Father's Day Celebration 2016

Early celebration for father's day today - STEAMBOAT!!
And it's just nice for the rainy weather outside, to have something hot and soupy on such a cold day. Awesomeness~

Tom yum cum chicken flavoured soup!
My favourite Tom Yum soup but then... actually my throat is still not fully recovered yet - as and when acting up. But not as bad as last month. So as long as I try to drink a lot of water, I guess I'm fine? :P

Anyway, look at this cute little watermelon below! Specially made by my mum! Doesn't the little figure look like my papa? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ maybe just without specs πŸ™Š

Finally, shall end this post with a

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

再见。在也不见。

Went to catch the movie "Distance"on Thursday night - the first day of official screening of this movie. I have no idea what this movie is about initially. Just proceed to watch it because Li Da Ren is acting in it. If you do not know who I am talking about, he's the main lead in the Taiwan drama ζˆ‘ε―θƒ½δΈδΌšηˆ±δ½  (In Time With You). Most of us girls are his fan after watching that drama! HAH!

Anyway, back to about the movie...

Throughout the movie as the story goes, we are filled with lots of question marks. Even up to the end. The ending and switching of scenes were really abrupt that we can't really keep up with it or link. I had a brief thought halfway through the movie that it might be 3 different stories that have some linkage. But to tell the truth, I still can't figure it out. Not until the end of the movie. That's when we realised it's 3 different stories that is by its own! Rather confusing since Li Da Ren is acting in all 3 stories portraying different characters! I still thought "wow this Li Da Ren changed job so extreme - from manager to teacher professor". Seriously LOL! Our fault also for not reading up on the movie before watching it. I usually have that habit of not reading up on what the movie is about:P

But it's never too late!

A video of what the movie is about:

Finally seeing the light of this movie, thinking back on what was being screened, it just makes more sense and it's somewhat meaningful. The movie is screening 3 different stories about family, friendship, and love respectively.

First story - The Son

A son seeing his father after many years after his father left the family due to running away from debt-collectors. The way he did not choose to reconcile with his father but to follow his father secretly to know what life he is living, touched my heart.

Even though he blame/ hate his father for leaving them, that still did not stop him for caring and showing concern of how his father is doing. That's how strong family ties are. No matter what happens or if there's any unhappiness or hatred, he will always be his father.

Second story - The Lake

A letter that arrived 10 years later from a childhood bro - a chance to see each other again. But the news that came with the letter is not something he expected - the final goodbye. Who would have thought this unexpected surprise will turn out to be the last time they will see each other.

And what's sad is the feelings that went through them. The letter that came without much hopes that it will be reciprocated. The regret and hatred from 10 years ago from an incident. And yet he's still willing to visit his childhood bro before he's given the death row. The reconciliation and reminiscing the old times together. And on top of that, fulfilling the wish of his childhood bro of helping to bring his ashes back to the lake they used to play at.

Third story: The Goodbye

Really, with the advancement of technology and social media, there's always a way for you to find someone regardless of where he/she is. Lost contact? No problem with the use of social media.

This story portrays the love between them. Despite the distance, they still love each other - the distance of being in different countries, the distance of age. And here they are. Finally seeing each other again.

The question of why she had left without saying goodbye. Not saying goodbye is hoping for another chance to see each other again.

Completion of Stage 1 Ukelele Class

Can't believe that the last Ukelele Stage 1 class is over today, after 3 months of going for classes. It just passes so fast!

It started with the decision to go for the classes on my own. Have been wanting to learn the musical instrument especially the guitar or piano. Why choose the Ukelele in the end then? Because ukelele is growing popular recently and it's said to be easier to learn as compared to the guitar since it only have 4 strings. So that's how I started off my learning journey with the ukelele - for someone without any musical experience :P

Basically my goal is to be able to play and sing at the same time. But I found it real challenging to do so. I am already struggling with the basics which is to press the chords, strum to the beat and pattern, and making sure to change the chords in time. And if I add in the singing, I tend to mix everything up and anyhow strum. HAHA! That is something I need to continue working on! But I do hope that one day I am able to sing and strum simultaneously! :)

The classes were held once a week for an hour each lesson. And it's conducted in small groups of around 5-6 people, making it conducive for learning and for the teacher to guide us more effectively. But it's rather fast paced since we learn different strumming patterns every week on different songs. And the difficulty level increases with each lesson. Hence without practicing on our own outside of classes, we will definitely get lost! I still remember missing one lesson - and I was quite lost initially. Even though the teacher was nice enough to do a recap. But I am those who need time. But then thankfully I was able to get it right after some guidance from my teacher and my classmate:) That's my favourite lesson - the song, the playing method!

I shall continue practicing on my own during my free time. And let's see if we will be continuing for stage 2. But hopefully before starting on stage 2, I really need to brush up on my playing. Otherwise I am afraid I cannot keep up with the increasing difficulty! HAHA!

Take one step at a time! Fighting~

If Only - ε―ζƒœζ²’ε¦‚ζžœ

Surfing the net while listening to the radio. And this was the song that was playing:

It's a nice song and the lyrics are pretty meaningful.
It got me thinking.

Like the title of the song, If Only...
Many a times we will ask ourselves what would have happened or change if only we had done things otherwise or make a different kind of decision.

If only this, if only that. If only there's no regret.
There's what we all hope for, but sometimes it's not usually the case. We can only learn from experiences and try not to make the same mistake the next time round if the chance came by again:)
