Hello September~

And a month had passed and it’s now September already! Time really flies and soon it will be another year. I hope that by then, I am able to accomplish something in my life (ie. some of my goals).

With the end of August, basically my key highlight will be the volunteer experience for OCBC Cycle on 30 Aug 2015.

It’s not my first volunteering experience, but it’s definitely the first time I had volunteered for an overnight event where shuttle bus service was provided to us at 12.30am and the whole shift will end at 11am. Initially my plan was to catch some sleep after heading out with my friend on 29 Aug. But it never did happen. Haha! So in the end, I didn’t manage to sleep from 29 Aug where I woke up at around 10am till next day on 30 Aug when I reach home at around 1pm.

Saw a few people from Sea Games, some of which I don’t really know. So this event serves as another bonding session for us :P

Funny how we were whatsapp-ing within the sea games group chat, keeping tab of where each of us are stationed at and sharing updates on the event from our stations. Funny how before the race starts, we all are taking and sharing pictures of the round moon from each of our stations as well! That’s how bored we are since there’s nothing we can do before the race starts. Have to keep busy otherwise the more we feel like dozing off.

So… I actually managed to tahan till around 9 plus and thereafter totally zombiefied mode. When the bus came to pick us up at our respective stations to report back at Stadium, all of us KO and slept inside the bus. Lucky for the short nap, we are all feeling much better back at Stadium and chatted while waiting for lunch. :)

Overall not too bad! Some cyclists were friendly and yelling good morning while passing by our station! :) So looking forward to our next overnight event together very soon. Heehee.

Happy Cooking - First Attempt

Remember previously i mentioned something about the Electric Lunch Box which me and my colleagues bought? Today's our first day trying to cook using that! Still recalling how excited we are, going to NTUC together to buy ingredients last Friday and also getting other ingredients on our own over the weekends.

And ta-dah~ my first cooking experience using Sota Electric Lunch Box - Tom Yum Bee Hoon Soup! Great sense of accomplishment:)

But of course there's some commotion in the behind scene mainly on cooking using this Electric Lunch Box. Haha! Not going to go into much much detail on that. Hahahaha. Since I don't really cook, so this is sort of a challenge for me. Maybe cooking a few more times will be okay already :P

Looking forward to more cooking days!~

p.s. Reason why I could take some time to draft out this blog post is due to the system down at office. Pang gang loh:P there's nothing we can do without both the systems required for us to carry out our work. Me and my neighbour was saying how lucky we are to stay back on Friday to rush out some of the documents. If not, with the systems down today, we will be jialat. Since the documents need to be rush out and checked by our senior before the appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday. Haha!

So in conclusion, no Monday blues today. But think tmr all of us will be facing Tuesday blues together if the system is up? :P

曾经

曾经。。

Healthy Living

Recently have been attending fitness classes like zumba and body pump! Interesting classes that I have never attempt/ attended before.

I like body pump though, even though it's really tiring and our muscles ache from it after the sessions. That's for not working out regularly previously. Haha!

Other than that, recently we bought a small cooker to cook simple lunch at work:) one reason why I wanted to get it is cuz I am sick of thinking about what to eat during lunch. So excited to try it out next week. Let's see what my first meal using this cooker will be. Maybe let's start with something simple like beehoon soup? Since I am not a person who knows how to cook. Hahahaha! Wish me luck at my first attempt next week!! Hopefully I can update on the outcome of my beehoon soup with this cooker:P

Sleepless Night

Time check: 1.45am and I am still widely awake! Not for any particular reason but I just can't seem to fall asleep. Been tossing and turning and many things had gone through my mind since.

No wonder people say to not think too much at night. It's true. You will tend to be reminded of the unhappiness at night when the world is sleeping. In the day, usually we won't have much time to think about the unhappiness due to many distractions. But in the night when quietness creeps in, we tend to venture into our darkest side unknowingly.

Yes, I am reminded of the regrets. But if given the choice again, I will be brave and  choose differently. But if not for the happenings, I would not have learnt and see things differently isn't it? Things happen for a reason. This I strongly believe. But now, I also believe in taking your fate in your own hands - if it's really what you want, you need to fight for it no matter what the outcome. If you fail once, stand strong and continue fighting.. You will succeed one day:)

Ok I guess that's enough for now. Gonna update this blog more often:p
For now, I shall try hard to sleep. If not I will regret it tmr when lack of sleep couple with Monday blues😂

From Strangers

Had been busy with volunteering for the Sea Games 2015:) It's the first time I am volunteering at the competition venue as previously for YOG, I am based at the athletes' residing place! I have to say that it's totally a different experience being based at competition venues. But it's all good:)

Some of the photos taken:

Given a choice again if I want to volunteer for sea games, my answer will be yes! Haha! And I can't wait to see them again in July:)
