National Breakfast Day!

Finally it's raining since yesterday after a long period of hot sunny weather! I really missed it! Missed the cooling weather since the start of January. How I wished everyday is so cooling (but maybe exclude the rain?) Haha. I missed sleeping in on rainy days...

Well~ My Monday did not actually start out well, with me being moody and irritated due to the lack of sleep (since I slept at 2am last night) and also due to the nice weather to sleep in. At times like this, I think I might flare up at the slightest things. Don't say I didn't give warning. Hah! But then after a while I will be fine:)

Anyway, my irritated and moody mood sort of became better at lunch time, where we get to have Mac breakfast, with the National Breakfast Day campaign that McDonald's is organizing. They actually gave out free limited supply of the Egg McMuffins from 6am - 11am today, and in addition, they will also be selling breakfast until 6pm today! Rare opportunity to have Mac breakfast in the afternoon! And maybe something to kill Monday blues? Hehehe.

P.s. It's still raining now and I really really feel like falling asleep! Even the cup of Teh O is useless at times like this. But then again, Teh O is useless on me:P Think I am immune to it already. Gambatte in trying to stay awake!

Cafe Hopping to Vanilla Bar & Cafe @ Tanjong Pagar

Cafe hopping around Tanjong Pagar area:) The amount of money we had spent so far on cafes:P
But nonetheless, my friend and I are also happy and satisfied enough walking around the area and spotting cafes! Not too shabby for an afternoon walk to digest our food. In addition to the ones we visited, we had also came across some others as well, which is currently pending on our list!:)

Their Store Front! Was telling my friend that we go down the lane and try to search for this cafe when she pointed out that its just in front of us! LOL

The seatings inside! Rather small and cozy. But the aircon is really cold. My friend and I were like freezing there! So you might want to bring along a cardigan:)

Outdoor seating! Got those garden kind of feeling! But be warned that they only have a standing fan for cooling effect. We actually requested to sit outside but due to it being in the afternoon, its rather hot and we request to switch to indoors thereafter.

Vanilla Dirt Cake
Highly raved for & unique in its own way as it is served in a flower pot. It really looks like those potted flower plant!! The dirt is actually oreo crumbs and the worms being the gummy ones; and underneath the dirt is actually frozen vanilla ice cream! Yum yum!!
Its recommended! But I feel that the frozen vanilla ice cream underneath the dirt, is not that cold.. Would be better if its colder.

Mini Pancakes with French Vanilla Ice-cream
Another of their recommended dessert! I like their mini pancakes. Real fluffy kind, which goes well with the ice-cream:)

Iced Matcha Float
My friend ordered this while I ordered the Iced Mocha Float (picture below!). I don't really like the Matcha Float as it is rather milky. And to top it off, the matcha taste only comes from the ice-cream. However, maybe for benefit of doubt, I don't really liked matcha in the first place. HAHA.

Iced Mocha Float
When I took the first sip before stirring in the ice-cream, it's bitter! Personally I am not a fan of bitter stuff (rather selective), so if you are like me, you might want to consider mixing in the ice-cream to sweeten it:)

100happydays Challenge: Accepted

Have you heard about the 100happydays challenge recently? Most of the people around us are participating in this! Are you one of them? :)

I feel that the person who created this, is really a genius and the reason behind this challenge is really very meaningful. If you think about it in this way, in our current society, many are occupied with their busy schedules and might not take the time to think about the things that had made their day, be it those small ones such as just having a nice dessert after a long day of work, or chilling with a cup of coffee. To others, it might not have meant something to them, but who knows, maybe to you, it means something more especially after a long busy day or after a bad day? Everyone's definition of happiness varies, but what this challenge is being created for, is to let you be aware and appreciative of things around you that makes you happy everyday, and hopefully this can lead to long term happiness:) Like they say, "there's always a rainbow after the rain". Things might not be smooth, but there's still other things that will be there to put a smile on your face. And it's up to you to discover them:)

After much contemplating on this, I decided to take up the 100happydays challenge! Reason why I had not started earlier was being afraid that I might give up halfway. But well, I am not going to care anymore. Just go for it as anyway our each individual happiness is in our own hands. Should not because of being afraid of failure and give up on fighting for my happiness! We should learn to appreciate each day as there will be bound to be something that makes us happy ad put a smile on our faces.

And I am just on my fourth day of the challenge.. Many more days to come! Shall see you all at the finish line:)

So if you think you want to take up this challenge, you can register at http://100happydays.com/ and get started on it!

Say hello to the little parrot

The little parrot at my parent's office! My dad brought it home yesterday and I finally got to see it:)

We let it out of its cage for a while to play with it (of course closing all the windows in case it fly away).

Pretty noisy earlier in the afternoon with it's chirping. The 2 hamsters were awaken by the chirping and we saw them standing up straight in their cage. Think they are trying to figure out what's the commotion about. Hahaha. But during night time, it quieten down.
