What does the moles on your face represent/ mean?

Ever wonder what the moles on your face means/ represents? I actually did not think too much on this previously. From what I heard from elderly people is that having a mole means you lack cleanliness, never wash thoroughly, something around that line. But I guess there's quite a few sayings on this. Depends on which you believe.

So when my friend send me this link on Facial Moles & their Superstitions Meanings, I was rather fascinated by the article! Interesting find!

Try reading this article and find out what the moles on your face means! :)

Cafe Hopping to Drury Lane Cafe @ Tanjong Pagar

My friend suggested this place for lunch on a particular Monday. Great place to hang out to beat away the Monday blues? No idea, so let's check it out!

We actually do not know the exact location of the place. All my friend knew was that it was near to Duxton, and since I know the way, I led the way. But as it turns out, we do not even have to walk to Duxton. It is just before Duxton, along the shophouses where most bridal studios are situated. Upon knowing this, we actually have the feeling of being tricked (the place seems so far away based on the google map).

Quite easy to spot since the door is painted in red:)

The seatings at the second level

Cozy sofa corner on the second level

Menu!! I heard that they have Specials on weekends! So to find out about the specials, you can try visiting the cafe on weekends:)

Egg Benedict (consisting of honey cured bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise and toast)
My friend ordered this. Not too bad, but just that the toast are quite hard. If softer then perfect! I feel that what's make this dish special is the hollandaise sauce. If you are wondering what's that sauce?  Based on Wikipedia, it's actually an emulsion of egg yolk and liquid butter, usually seasoned with lemon juice, salt, and a little pepper.

Big 94 (consisting of eggs, sausage, mushrooms, honey cured bacon, baked beans and toast)
Same thing as the Egg benedict set, the toasts are quite hard. I like their bacon!! But the sausage is disappointing as it's not that tasty. Like maybe lacking of pepper or salt? LOL. Seasoning I would say.

The Iced Chocolate which I tried!! Not bad not bad. Quite thick!

But if you like to go to Drury Lane Cafe, maybe you should try their Muffins also! Heard that it's nice! Too bad we didn't get to try that:(

Is this how hamsters sleep nowadays?

Is the following picture showing how hamsters sleep nowadays? HAHA!

I actually got a shock when I saw the two hamsters in the above positions. The first thing that came to my mind is that they fight and died? But of course, the thing I did before taking a snapshot is to knock on the cage and when I saw them stir, relieve flood over me. I also did see them sleep in such a way subsequently. So just wondering if hamsters sleep like this nowadays.. Cause the hamsters I had previously, did not sleep like this at all.. Hmm..

These 2 little hamsters seriously never fail to surprise me! :)

Cafe Hopping to The Loft @ Chinatown

Walked pass this cafe for a few times and yet didn't have the chance to go up. Finally get to go there as what we had earlier is not at all satisfying. As it is located on the 2nd level, it offers a quiet place to hang out and a getaway from the busy streets in Chinatown.

As we only went here for something light, we ordered the drinks and a pancake set.

Ice Earl Grey with Aloe Vera
(Rated as Loft Cafe Customer favourite under the cold beverage section. My friend tried this and it's very refreshing, especially recommended after a hot day outside! I will definitely order this the next time I am there again:)

Hot Cocoa with Happy Marshmellows
(Rated as Loft Cafe Customer Favourite under the hot beverage section. I tried this! Not too bad:) But I still like the Iced Earl Grey with Aloe Vera better as it have a refreshing taste.
The Loft's Buttermilk Pancakes: Short Stack (2 Pancakes)
(We ordered a short stack to try. Personally, I felt it to be just alright only. Just normal and nothing special.)

The menu board at level 1 just beside the stairs up to the Loft Cafe

Will revisit this cafe to try out their main dishes! :)

Cafe Hopping to Craft Bakery Cafe @ Holland Village

Updates for Jan 2014! Went to Craft Bakery Cafe with a friend to try out. We are researching on which cafe to go to, and came across this cafe. The molten cakes are actually from 3 inch sin and look tempting and nice, so we decided to go for it!

We ordered the Breakfast Set, Truffle Fries, Cafe Mocha, and 2 Molten cakes (1 Original and 1 Banana Flavor) to share. Personally, I like their Molten cakes, which comes with one scoop of Vanilla Ice-cream. Initially me and my friend actually want to take a video of the chocolate oozing out, but when we cut open the molten cake, it did not happen as the chocolate is actually those thick and rich kind! Goes really well with the Vanilla Ice-cream! However, when we tried the Banana flavored Molten Cake, it does not really have the taste of the banana. I think the banana taste is more of the yellowish powder on top of the molten cakes? Cause the chocolate inside, tastes exactly like the original one.

Personally, I feel that the food was normal, not too bad. The main attraction for me to re-visit this cafe is the Molten Cakes I guess, plus the ambience. I would say that it is a real nice place to chill and catch up with friends over desserts aka the molten cakes :)

The location of the cafe is also easily accessible, within walking distance from Holland Village MRT Station. Address: 24A Lorong Mambong, Singapore 277183
Operating Hours: 12pm - 11pm (Sun-Thurs); 12pm - 12am (Fri-Sat)

Updates (Ramyun & Soju Korean Cuisine)

If you are looking to having Korean noodles, you may want to check out this restaurant:) The price is pretty reasonable ($10.90 nett for a set lunch consisting of the noodle broth, toppings, drinks, and a complimentary kimchi side dish).

For those who are interested to patronize this restaurant, the address is at 1 Tras Link, #01-03, Singapore 078867, (within walking distance from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station).

My colleagues and I was actually intending to go to Tanjong Pagar Market (which just re-opened in Jan 2014 due to renovation) for lunch and we stumbled across this restaurant while walking to Tanjong Pagar market! The thing that catches all our eyes, is the way the restaurant actually uses those pots to contain the noodles. We found it fascinating and after looking at what others are eating over there, we decided to have this instead!

The food was not too bad! The noodles were cooked just nice, with the "qq" feeling. It is really worth going back to that restaurant again. So far, we already visit the restaurant twice in just Jan 2014! I tried the Original Spicy Broth and Spicy U Dong Broth, and personally, I like the Original Spicy Broth better:)

Updates! (AKA Bacon & Ham)

Realized that I had not blogged about Bacon & Ham! HAHA! They are the 2 new hamsters that my brother had gotten:) So cute!!

Photo taken when we placed them in a box while setting up their cozy cage

Hungry Bacon & Ham eating nuts together in the container:)

It's funny how everytime when you add food into the container, they will gather and munch the nuts, storing it inside their mouth, making themselves more fluffy and bigger in size! HAHAHA! It's like a race to see who can gather the most nuts!
