Day Trip to JB (28 Oct 2018)

Went for day trip to JB on a Sunday. We did not managed to get the train tickets since it was snatched up within minutes! We actually postponed the trip once already as we also had not managed to get the train tickets. So in the end, we chose to go ahead with the plan - heading in to JB via bus instead.

First thing when I got there, was to get the data sim card. My previous one had already expired due to me not topping up and extending the validity. So yeah. This time round must remember to do so. But it seems that they had shortened the validity period - it will expire 50 days from your last top up. Zzzz.

Restoran Hua Mui
Address: No. 131, Jalan Trus, 80000, Johor Bahru

So our first stop was to Restoran Hua Mui. They are famous for their Hainanese Chicken Chop! It's just walking distance from City Square. By the time we reached the place, the place was full, and there was a queue outside (around 4 - 5 before us).

Our food listed as follows (clockwise from top left):
- Hot Milo (RM 2.90)
- Hua Mui Breakfast (RM 8.90)
Hainanese Chicken Chop (RM 15.90)
- Butter & Kaya Toast (RM 2.00)

Bev-C
Address: 54 Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, 8000

Thereafter was time for some dessert. 2 minutes walk away from Hua Mui.

This was actually a clothing shop, and the cafe is at the second level.

We ordered their signature Chocolate Mint Pie (RM 16) and a cuppa Ice Cube Espresso + Milk (RM 16)
They actually have the coffee ice cubes and you can add the amount of milk to it accordingly to your preference.
There was also other options such as espresso+chocolate+milk, and also espresso+caramel+milk.

Thereafter we head over to Paradigm Mall for some shopping. Our initial plan was to visit the newly opened shopping mall, but we heard some reviews that it's not ready? So we stick to Paradigm Mall instead.

And I got to try the Jay Chou - Liang Sandwich Bar.
Tried their recommended Chicken Bolognese. Aiyo Bu Cuo Wor~

Dong Seoul Restaurant
Address: 109, Jalan Sutera Tanjung 8/2, Taman Sutera Utama, 81300 Skudai

Dinner was thereafter settled at Dong Seoul.

First time having korean food in such traditional style.

Fried Pork in Spicy (RM 35)

Fried New Year Cake (RM 25)

We also ordered the Spicy Korean Noodles (RM 12).

Look at our table full of food! The amount of side dishes they give is just really a wide spread! Yum Yum.

But it's really too much for 2 person. We are so full that we nearly puke.

And then, we had to head back to Singapore since it was getting late. We returned via the Tuas checkpoint since Woodlands will jam even badly as it's a sunday.
Malaysia customs was pretty smooth. The jam was in Singapore customs and also the  especially long waiting time for the buses to Jurong East MRT station! I think we queued for nearly one hour?

Other than that, we had fun! :)
